Dr. Tenille Richardson-Quamina
I'm Dr. Tenille Richardson-Quamina, a clinical social worker licensed by the state of Florida. I am also a Certified Sex Addictions Therapist-Candidate. In the era of escalating negative internet behaviors, my mission is to help men, women, and teens stop the internet from being a problem in their life or relationship.
Does this sound like you? Your loved one picks up their phone, turns on their computer, or starts to play video games. You become suspicious, emotions start to run high, you worry, your thoughts race, fights break out, and you just want it to stop. Asking for help can be hard especially when it deals with the internet which is such a big part of our lives. I’m glad that you are here looking for help. I want you to know that my couch is a judgement free zone. We will work as a team to identify your inner strengths coupled with some unique and interactive tools to help you and your loved ones overcome your challenges with the internet.
Imagine feeling secure and trusting your significant other without snooping through their phone or computer. Envision how proud you will be of yourself when you overcome your online addictions. Visualize your child being safe online, getting better grades, taking more interest in social and physical activities, or having consistent limits to their game use. Imagine watching your screen time significantly decrease. I will help you achieve these goals by showing you how to disconnect from technology so you can reconnect to life.
After 10 years of research I have developed three counseling programs:
- #InternetProofTeens to combat cyberbullying and online safety.
- #InternetProofRelationships to overcome or prevent online affairs.
- #InternetProofRecovery program to battle online addictions (porn, gaming, gambling, cybersex, and social media).
Each program is tailored to your specific needs and goals.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Howard University, my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore, and my Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech.
I utilize evidenced based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method. I have clocked thousands of hours researching, training, and creating unique tools, and counseling techniques that will help you overcome online addictions, cyberbullying, and online affairs.
A note on payment: I have chosen not to contract with insurance; however, you may be eligible for reimbursement of a significant percentage of out-of-pocket costs through your out-of-network benefits. I’m happy to provide assistance with determining your eligibility for reimbursement through your insurance provider, and assistance in seeking reimbursement.
